The 19th Annual CIAB Febraban 2009 will run from 17th to 19th June at the Transamerica Expo Centre in São Paulo, Brazil. The event, organised by the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), is the largest congress and expo of information technology for financial institutions in Latin America.

Brazil has witnessed a 76% increase in bank current accounts since 2000, and the country remains heavily dependent on cheques as a means of payment. Until now electronic cheque clearing has not been possible, however new cheque truncation legislation will result in a dramatic rise in electronic processing. It will also eliminate the need for the movement of physical paper-based cheques from one location to another. Arquo is the only digital archive capable of ingesting 10 million cheques per hour and storing one billion cheques in a single archive. Due to exceptional interest in our product from Brazilian financial institutions, Arquo′s senior management team will be available at CIAB Febraban 2009 for meetings with end users and prospective partners.
